Everyone Loves A Game!

At Sunshine Organising we like to make things FUN!

To help control the daily chaos we have a GAME that we play.

"WHERE DO I LIVE?"

This is a game that the whole family can play and can happen everyday...

1. Set a timer for 5 mins
2. Have everyone start in a different room.
3. Pick something up in the room that doesn't belong there and put it in the room where it does.
4. Before you leave that room pick up an object that lives in another room and take it there.

And so it continues on and on.

Alternatively this can be done on your own and turns into a HABIT.

The KEY is: DON'T leave a room empty handed.

In the end everything will LIVE in it's right place and you'll see those little bits and pieces not lying around anymore.

It will also help you see that some things don't have a "home" and the need for storage.

Have FUN and try it out!1

Wise Beyond Her Years

A 4 year old said to me yesterday:

"Cleaning is a big job for just one person".

How true that is.

So even a 4 year old knows that 2 is better than 1!

Interactive Job Chart

Getting your kids to do their chores is rarely an easy task but it's a necessity in a family.

As kids become more involved with computers, Sunshine Organising has come across a FREE online job chart for your kids. It is simple and easy to use for both parent and child. It also cuts down on your time having to make job charts for your kids. There are various styles of Job charts, it all depends on what you would prefer and what works best for your family.

So have a look at this link and decide for yourself.

Laundry makeover

Sunshine Organising recently organised a large downstairs family laundry.
With our client we worked side by side sorting through her belongings and setting up systems. Our process of de-cluttering, sorting, filing and donating items ended with great results and will be beneficial in the long run for better mangement.

The laundry also housed a large linen cupboard which is now a place of order for her family history and craft projects.

The room has now been transformed into a room our client now has claimed as "her room".
She regularly keeps in contact with us on facebook and tells us how it's going.

We are so happy that after being a mother of a large family she now has a room for herself.
Our client loves it and soon we will be visiting her to put their home office in much needed order.

Here are some before and after pictures of the project.
